Comedy Central’s "The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore," a nightly discussion panel program hosted by comedian Larry Wilmore, centered last night's episode on the vaccination debate that has thrust itself onto center stage following the Measles outbreak at Disneyland in Anaheim CA.
“Your job as a parent, from the moment your child is born, is to protect that child with every ounce of your being,” declared Zoey O’Toole, Editor in Chief of The Thinking Moms’ Revolution blog and anti-vaccination proponent, during the panel. But as was apparent in last night’s discussion, many view vaccinations as a central component to protecting their children. Panel member Dr. Holly Phillips said that “the measles vaccine is not new … hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of millions of doses have been given, and we know it works.”
As it were, the Deseret News has taken a pro-vaccine position — recently publishing an editorial pointing out the necessity of vaccinations.
