I felt if I could help someone smile in any way, help brighten someone’s life in any way, I’d do it. – Bobby Wagner

Former Utah State standout and current Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner had quite the surprise for one 14-year-old boy in Olympia, Washington.

In a video posted to YouTube, Daniel is called to the principal's office at his middle school. Instead of getting in trouble, Daniel is perplexed to learn he has a phone call.

To his surprise, it's Wagner on the other line.

"I'm freaking out," Daniel yells. As he hangs up, he's in tears as he tells his family behind him that he's headed to the Super Bowl to watch his favorite team play.

According to FOX 13 in Seattle, the boy in the video, Daniel, has an undisclosed life-threatening medical condition. He'll fly into Phoenix on Friday for the game Sunday.

It's not the first time this season a USU alum and Seahawks member has surprised a fan with a gift. Ex-Aggie running back Robert Turbin sent a man a signed helmet from the team. That video has since been viewed more than 1.7 million times on YouTube.

During media availability Wednesday in Phoenix, Wagner said he didn't think twice about giving Daniel tickets to the big game.

"I’ve always been interested in trying to help people in anyway possible," Wagner said. "I felt if I could help someone smile in any way, help brighten someone’s life in any way, I’d do it."
