Utah Valley University's men's and women's track and field teams travel to Pocatello, Idaho, on Friday and Saturday to participate in the Mountain States Games, hosted by Idaho State in the Holt Arena.
"We are focusing on our 5K runners and our multi events at the meet. This will be the first 5K of the indoor season for many of our competitors and the second multi event opportunity after the BYU meet," head coach Scott Houle said. " We hope to see some qualifying marks and see how we compare to the rest of the conference after the results from this weekend."
Senior Ivie Gonsalves and freshman Savannah Berry will run their first 5K's of the indoor season, alongside juniors Seth Gutzwiller and Chris Brower, debuting in the men's 5K on Friday.
Jessica Beatty, Tarin Strosser and Ashli Schulz will notch another pentathlon over the two-day meet, while Chandler Rieske, Chris Canseco and Rusty Jones will participate in their second heptathlon of the season.
Logan Rusch will also compete in the 60m and 200m sprints.
Complete results will be posted on the Wolverine's website following the conclusion of Friday and Saturday's results.
