SAN DIEGO — Utah State will be looking to take down its second conference-leading team in a row when it faces San Diego State today at Viejas Arena at 6 p.m.

The Aggies (12-8, 5-3) are coming off a 56-44 home victory over Wyoming on Tuesday. The Cowboys had been alone atop the Mountain West Conference standings with a 6-1 mark, but fell into a tie for first with San Diego State (16-5, 6-2) after the loss.

Freshman David Collette paced Utah State in the victory with 16 points and five rebounds. The forward is averaging 13.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.

Sophomore Jalen Moore tops the Aggies in scoring with 15.4 points per game.

The Aztecs enter the game having won five of their last six games and are riding a 26-game home winning streak. San Diego State has won three-straight games against Utah State.

The last time out against the Aztecs didn't turn out so well for the Aggies. San Diego State rolled to a 73-39 victory in the quarterfinals of the 2014 MWC tournament.

Senior Aqeel Quin paces the Aztecs in scoring at 10.9 points per game, while junior Winston Shepard is close behind at 10.6.

This game wraps up the first half of conference play for both teams.
