Unless you live in Davis County, you're most likely only familiar with Farmington for one reason — Lagoon. Farmington, however, in recent years has made a huge push for new housing developments and along with them, a place where families and friends can gather together.
So, whether you're a Davis County native looking for a date night, family fun or something to do with your friends, or if you live in the Salt Lake Valley and want to try something new, Farmington now has something for you year round.

1. Shopping
While other outdoor malls may attract attention from the downtown crowd, Farmington's Station Park is the new iconic shopping experience. Beautifully designed and boasting 100 businesses (several of which — like custom menswear company Beckett & Robb and the unique dress shop, Shabby Apple — are locally owned specialty boutiques), your shopping desires will surely be met.
Other notable mentions:
• Apple Store
• Banana Republic
• LUSH
• lululemon athletica
• Nordstrom Rack
• J.Crew
• Victoria's Secret
• Cost Plus World Market
With so many stores, it'd be hard not to find something you like. Station Park brought high end shopping to Davis County with stores that previously weren't available.
2. Restaurants
Aside from shopping, Station Park also offers 20 restaurants with more on the way, some of which are less common in Utah. Take ParkStone Wood Kitchen for example, with only three locations nation-wide this woodfire themed restaurant is a real treat. It even offers its own "date night done right" event, such as dinner and live entertainment on Dec. 3.
Other notable mentions:
• Twigs Bistro & Martini Bar
• Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana
• Sushi Monster
• Cafe Zupas
• Chic-fil-A (opening Spring 2016)

3. Activities
From individual activities to group activities, you've got options to choose from now. Station Park's Fountain Square boasts unmatched amenities including a beautiful event lawn, outdoor fireplace, shaded patios and bronze sculptures; woodland children's play area and an inspiring show fountain, equipped with contemporary music and LED lighting; similar to the Disney's World of Color show.
Now that the weather is cooler and the holiday season is settling in, why not take a date (or the entire family) to the ice-skating rink amidst the shops? The atmosphere and affordability are unparalleled.

If ice-skating isn't your gig, chances are you like the movies (who doesn't?). Cinemark is changing the way movies are viewed with reclining seats, pure comfort, 14 screens and a convenient location in-between ParkStone and Settebello.
Another fun activity could be the cooking classes that Harmons' offers 2-3 times per week. With classes ranging from sushi making, to pie making, steak & chops, french cuisine, and artisan pizza, there is something for everybody.
4. Transportation and parking
It's widely known that parking and transportation can make or break any venue, no matter how great it claims to be. Lucky for you, the city of Farmington thought about that long before Station Park was built.
If you prefer to drive yourself, do it! But UTA's FrontRunner stops at the Farmington Station, which puts you right in the middle of all the accommodations so you can enjoy the atmosphere — carless.

For ease of shopping or fun ambiance try Station Park's shuttle or pedi cabs; both are free for guests and operate Thursdays through Saturdays from 4 – 10 p.m.
One thing is for sure, if you're seeking out a fun experience that has something for everyone, set your GPS to Farmington and get ready to see Farmington in an entirely new way.
