Boys basketball


PANGUITCH 77, MILFORD 45: Dason Houston posted 25 points for the Bobcats while teammate Trey Barney added another 24 in the region victory over Milford. Jordan Hardy led all scorers with 27 points in the loss.

BRYCE VALLEY 68, DIAMOND RANCH 65: Daxtyn Tebbs and Landyn Brinkerhoff combined to score 46 points and lead the Mustangs to the road victory.

PIUTE 67, ESCALANTE 36: Piute controlled the game throughout and got the win. The T-Birds Tanner Gleave scored a game-high 24 points.

VALLEY 64, WAYNE 62: Up by six entering the fourth quarter, Valley staved off a Wayne comeback bid to get the win. The Buffaloes Kobe Shatto scored a game-high 17 points.


LAKE MINNEOLA, FLA. 59, WASATCH ACADEMY 55: Cody John led the Tigers with 18 points in the loss, and was named to the All-Tournament Team in the Montverde Invitational. Shamiel Stevenson finished the game with a double-double of 15 points and 12 rebounds.

RICH 62, ST. JOSEPH 37: Rich broke the game open with a dominant second quarter and cruised to the win. Wyatt Muirbrook and Mitch Jarman combined for 32 points to lead the Rebels.

Girls basketball


RICH 48, DUCHESNE 47: Abby Whatcott made two free throws with four seconds left to help Rich overtake Duchesne and the Rebels hung on for the win. The free throws capped a monster comeback after Rich trailed by 13 points entering the fourth quarter. Three Rebels finished in double figures, led by Emily Hopkins game-high 13 points.
