Although I have not seen and most likely will never see "American Sniper," I wish to let my opinion be known to those who listen to the likes of Michael Moore and Bill Maher. These two, along with other like-minded individuals, would want us to believe that snipers like the late Chris Kyle and the late Carlos Hathcock II, along with many still living, are cowards. That is so far from the truth it is a slap to American history.
It was the actions of a sniper that won the Battle of Saratoga during the Revolutionary War. The original snipers used bows and arrows before the invention of firearms during the medieval period. Throughout all history, soldiers using their sharpshooting skills have put themselves into equally dangerous situations as those on the front lines to clear a pathway for liberation. Respect the ones who look ahead, for without them, dangers lurk without us knowing.
