Boys basketball


PAROWAN 45, KANAB 43: Jake Smith led Parowan with 14 points and Shandon Clark pulled down 13 boards as the Rams rebounded from a one-point second quarter to get the narrow lead.


MANILA 67, ALTAMONT 33: Kolby Asay and Matt Gonder scored 17 points apiece to lead Manila on the road.

Girls basketball


NORTH SEVIER 61, GRAND 28: Three players finished in double figures for the Wolves, who were led by Hailey Higgs 14 points. North Sevier is now in a three-way tie with Emery and South Sevier for the top spot in Region 15.

SOUTH SEVIER 69, SAN JUAN 20: Brielle Chisholm and Macie Parsons combined for 36 points to lead the way as South Sevier rolled to the win.


DUCHESNE 51, RICH 39: Duchesne topped Rich in the Region 17 tiebreaker game to clinch the No. 1 seed for the 1A state tournament. Melissa Robinson led the Eagles with 14 points while Mashaylee Giles and Kaylie Grant added 12 and 11 points, respectively. Melanie Lamborn scored 11 points for the Rebels in the loss.


TABIONA 16, ALTAMONT 12: Shaelee Nay led the Tigers with seven points as Tabiona got the play-in victory in a two-quarter tiebreaker. With the win, the Tigers earned third place in Region 17 and Altamont placed fourth.
