SPRINGVILLE 56, WASATCH 53 (OT): Hunter Davis, Zach Gordon and Kaden Hillstead all scored in double figures in the overtime win over Wasatch.

TIMPVIEW 74, SALEM HILLS 48: Gavin Baxter scored a game-high 25 points in the win over Salem Hills on the road.

SPANISH FORK 73, MAPLE MOUNTAIN 70: Spanish Fork edged out Maple Mountain on Senior Night. Hunter Schofield led with 25 points. Benson Rhees and Connor Anderson combined for 22 points.


WASATCH ACADEMY 89, LAYTON CHRISTIAN 44: Seniors Cody John and August Navickas combined for 45 points to lead the Tigers to a dominating win.

DUCHESNE 64, LYMAN, WYO. 62: Carsen Reinhardt posted 22 points as the Eagles closed the first half on a 22-8 run.

PIUTE 55, WENDOVER 34: Shaylee Gleave scored 18 points, including 13 in the first half, as Piute built a 28-19 halftime lead on Wendover and pulled away in the second half for the 1A first round victory.

DUCHESNE 72, WAYNE 67 (OT): Mashaylee Giles scored 29 points and Alyssa Nielsen added 20 as Duchesne survived an upset bid from Wayne to prevail in the 1A first round at the Sevier Valley Center in overtime. Courtney Jackson scored 28 points in the loss for Wayne.

MONTICELLO 49, ALTAMONT 24: Allie Maughan scored 13 points to lead a balanced Monticello offensive attack as the Buckaroos eased past Altamont in the 1A first round at the Sevier Valley Center.

BRYCE VALLEY 35, TINTIC 27: Bryce Valley methodically pulled away from Tintic in a defensive first-round victory to advance to the 1A quarterfinals. Jailine Vasquez led the Mustangs with nine points in the win.

RICH 54, GREEN RIVER 41: Rich raced to a 28-11 halftime lead and coasted from there to advance to the 1A quarterfinals. Emily Hopkin and Abby Whatcott combined for 33 points to lead the Rebels, while Green River was led by Maribel Escalantes 16 points on four 3-pointers.

PANGUITCH 87, INTERMOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN 10: The Bobcats led 25-0 after the first quarter.

VALLEY 44, ST. JOSEPH 40 (OT): McKenna Roundy and Nicole Heaton combined for 28 to lead the Buffaloes to an overtime victory.

TABIONA 40, WHITEHORSE 33: Shaelee Nay netted a game-high 23 points with one trey in the win over Whitehorse on the road.


FREMONT 55, LONE PEAK 54: Junior guard Melanie Graves hit one of two free throws to give the defending champions a one-point victory against third-seeded Lone Peak. Harley Hansen led the Silver Wolves with 23 points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Graves and Kaycee Andersen added 10 points each.Kelsey McCann, Savannah Flanary and Aubrey Wilson each scored 12 points for the Knights.

AMERICAN FORK 45, DAVIS 36: American Fork got off to an early lead and then did just enough to get past Davis to advance to the 5A state semifinals. The Cavemen were led by Paige Farnsworth and Jenna Shepherd, each who scored a team-high nine points.

RIVERTON 52, VIEWMONT 46: The Silverwolves earned a quarterfinal win over Viewmont behind Tiena Afus 13 points and four rebounds, while Kirsten Spencer added 10 points, six of which came from the foul line in the game's final minutes. Katie Toole finished her high school career with a game-high 26 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots. Mercedes Staples added 14 points, while Darbi Ferrell added 10 rebounds.

BRIGHTON 50, LAYTON 46: The Bengals hit some clutch free throws down the stretch to stave off a hard-charging Lancer team. Star sophomore Dani Barton was hampered with a gimpy ankle, but still managed a team-high 15 points in the win. The Lancers were led by Hailey Bassett and her team-high 13 points.
