Letter: Where's our winter?

The future of snow looks bleak in our warming world. There is growing awareness that the ethical path forward is to reduce greenhouse gases from economic enterprises.

This is indicated by calls from political, religious and business leaders like George Schultz, Pope Francis and the editors of “The Economist” for a price to be put on carbon emissions. With this ski season possibly on target to be our warmest ever, perhaps this could motivate you to show your support for climate change action.

On Feb. 13, we petitioned the University of Utah to divest from the fossil fuel corporations that are profiting from wrecking our planet.

Consider writing a letter to the editor, board of trustees or representative to let them know that fossil fuels are history and you want clean renewables to power your future.
