LDS Church announces groundbreaking date for first Wyoming temple

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the groundbreaking date for the Star Valley Wyoming Temple Wednesday morning.

The groundbreaking will be held April 25, 2015. The Star Valley Wyoming Temple will be the first LDS temple in Wyoming.

President Thomas S. Monson announced the temple during the October 2011 general conference. The Star Valley Wyoming Temple was announced along with temples in Paris; Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo; Durban, South Africa; and Barranquilla, Colombia.

The LDS Church also recently announced dates for the Payson Utah Temple open house, which will be held April 24 to May 23, 2015.
