Back-seat diplomacy

I have been listening on the radio about the poor choice that the Seattle Seahawks made in the fourth quarter in the Super Bowl. It is very easy to make judgment calls after the game. I think that this is called "back-seat driving," or "leading from behind." These people take no blame for the game.

I think America is doing the same thing in international diplomacy. We are leading from behind and being a back-seat driver. If other countries make mistakes, it is their fault. We are not making decisions, but are letting others make them. We are reacting and not forward-thinking in world decisions. America has become a follower and not a leader.
