SALT LAKE CITY — The city invites residents and business owners to an open house to discuss the upcoming rebuild of the 1300 South viaduct.
The event will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sorenson Unity Center, 1383 S. 900 West.
City officials and contractor representatives will be on hand to answer questions, explain project details and discuss expected impacts through the project period.
The bridge is slated for closure in early March, with an expected six-month construction period to follow. When completed, the new structure aims to upgrade and improve the passage of automobile, transit, pedestrian and cyclist traffic on 1300 South over the railroad tracks between 500 West and 700 West.
Individuals can receive updates on the project by sending an email to 1300South@utah.gov with “Join the Contact List” in the subject line. Questions can be directed to the project hotline at 385-210-0585.
