RAINBOW BRIDGE NATIONAL MONUMENT — Rainbow Bridge National Monument reopened to the public on Saturday.
The monument was temporarily closed for trail repair after heavy winter rains washed out a segment of the trail presenting a safety hazard for visitors.
Loven Contracting out of Flagstaff, Arizona, with support from Lake Powell Resorts and Marinas completed work on the newly damaged trail segments.
Now that access is renewed, the park staff is reminding visitors that the canyon is prone to flash flooding and to use their best judgment when planning a hike to Rainbow Bridge.
