FARMINGTON — The Board of Education of the Davis School District is seeking comments from residents after it passed a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of not more than $43 million of the 2009 voter-approved bonds.
By law, the resolution allows for a 30-day comment period before the actual sale of those bonds.
The bond money would be used to build a new elementary school in west Farmington and a new elementary school in west Kaysville to alleviate current overcrowding in nearby existing schools. It would also complete renovations at Millcreek Junior High and finance other building improvements in the district.
Approximately $35 million of the original $250 million voter-approved bond remains unspent and is expected to be issued in 2016.
