30 cyclists from around the world came together this month to save five orphans persecuted for their religious beliefs in China.
"Hundreds of Chinese children of Falun Dafa practitioners are the victims of this persecution," said Ghazal Tavanaei, an expatriate from the United Arab Emirates and one of the cyclists on the trip, according to 7DAYS UAE. "They become orphans after their parents are arrested and imprisoned."
According to the Ride2Freedom website, the cyclists hope their 3,000 mile journey from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., will help make the world aware of the children's suffering.
