DUCHESNE — The Ashley National Forest, in partnership with the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, will enhance and complete needed maintenance on four ponds in the Lower Stillwater Pond Complex beginning next week.

Work will be completed around the middle of July. The Lower Stillwater Pond Complex will remain open to fishing and recreation during this project.

Heavy equipment will be used to complete needed maintenance and enhance the fishery to improve angling opportunities.

Two of the ponds have been drained and will be dredged to increase depth and improve fish habitat. The banks and dams of the four ponds will be repaired and stabilized.
