BOUNTIFUL — Road work will cause changes on freeways in south Davis County next week as new permanent striping is installed by the Utah Department of Transportation.
On Monday night, one lane will be open on northbound I-15 while crews install the new permanent striping near the I-215 interchange. The left lane will be striped as an Express Lane but is open to all passenger vehicles for the next few months.
The left lane will end after the I-215 ramp, but the northbound on-ramp will have a dedicated lane entering I-15. Motorists should plan ahead and merge to the right.
Also next week, crews will remove and replace asphalt on 2600 South between State Street and Wildcat Way at night. Motorists should expect rough pavement and drive alertly during this work.
Curb and gutter, bridge work, paving and sign installation are ongoing in all areas near the 2600 South interchange in preparation to open it in its new configuration in mid-July.
