SALT LAKE CITY — A bicyclist was critically injured after colliding with a car Thursday near 1300 South and 400 East.
The 22-year-old man was hospitalized in critical condition with a head injury, said Salt Lake police detective Dennis McGowan. The man's condition stabilized Friday, and he is expected to survive.
McGowan said the bicyclist was heading east on 1300 South and attempting to turn left onto 400 East when a westbound sedan hit him shortly after 4:30 p.m Thursday.
The 36-year-old driver was not injured.
Investigators were still investigating the collision Friday, and it wasn't immediately clear who had established the right of way, according to McGowan.
