INDIANAPOLIS — A 14-year-old boy has been arrested on a preliminary charge of murder in the shooting death of a girl in Indianapolis.

Indianapolis police said he was detained on Saturday evening without incident. They said the name of the boy would not be released because he was arrested as a juvenile.

The victim was identified at Kayla Goggins, 18, of Indianapolis. Police said they responded to a report of a large fight at about 11 p.m. on Friday night.
