ASHLEY NATIONAL FOREST — Crews will be repaving Moon Lake Road beginning July 8.

The project will begin at the Ashley National Forest boundary and end at the entrance of Moon Lake Campground. The construction may cause some delays, but vehicle travel will be maintained along the road during construction.

It will take three to five weeks to prepare the road for asphalt. A contractor will then be used to pave the entire 5.3 miles of the road this fall.

The timing of the paving will depend on when the Ashley National Forest and Duchesne County receiving funding, weather and availability of contractors.

There is a chance the paving will not happen until the following spring/summer, and the road would be left as a gravel surface for he remainder of 2015.
