SACRAMENTO — Sandy's Steve Schneiter found the going tough at the U.S. Senior Open on Saturday, firing a 6-over-par 76 at Del Paso Country Club, which left him at 10-over-par 220 and 15 shots behind co-leaders Bernhard Langer and Jeff Maggert. Schneiter, a teaching professional at Pebblebrook Golf Course, started with a birdie and and ended with a birdie, but in between he only had one other birdie, while recording seven bogeys and a double bogey, leaving him in a tie for 66th place. Earlier he had rounds of 69 and 75 at the par-70 course.
