Summertime is upon us, and no doubt dreams of vacations fill the brain.
But choosing the right destination can be tough. Not everyone has the dough to go on any elaborate summer getaway they please.
To help make the decision a little easier, personal finance website WalletHub recently ranked 80 of the country's largest metro areas based on how affordable it is to travel there.
WalletHub took into consideration "13 key metrics" that it says speak to the affordability of an area. Then they created five categories to rank each city: "Costs and Hassles of Getting There," "Local Costs," "Attractions," "Weather Conditions," and "Parks and Recreation."
Here, we've listed WalletHub's top 35 cities for summer travel. Did your city make the list?
