On June 2, the Deseret News readers forum had three excellent letters again addressing the reasons for NO prison relocation. With so many people opposed to this and so many reasons for keeping the prison where it is now, for adding onto the current structures on land already owned, why is this issue not dropped? Who is getting the benefit of moving the current prison and building on the land? Why does the valley need more business?

We struggle with pollution problems all winter and the only ones who seem really targeted are those with wood-burning stoves. Yes, they do contribute, but the other contributors are the many hundreds of vehicles driving to work daily and the manufacturing companies. It does not make sense to let a few individuals decide what the majority of the people want. More effort needs to be made on solving our immediate challenges of pollution problems, school needs, safety on streets and roads. Please stop this nonsensical idea.
