SOUTH SALT LAKE — Police were searching for two Honduran teenage boys who escaped from the Salt Lake County Juvenile Detention Center shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday.

The teens, both 17, crawled under one fence and over a second security fence to escape the facility at 3450 S. 900 West, said South Salt Lake Police Department spokesman Gary Keller.

The missing boys are Yuvine Eusada-Alvares, who is about 5 feet tall and weighs 110 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and Jonathan Grandes-Maves, who is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds.

Both were last seen wearing standard detention center-issued clothing: blue pants, gray T-shirts and white shoes.
