CENTERVILLE — A Layton man was hospitalized in very critical condition Friday after he rolled his pickup truck on Legacy Parkway.
Brett Turek, 18, was southbound near Parrish Lane in Centerville around 7:30 a.m. when he drifted from the roadway to his right, overcorrected to the left and rolled his vehicle into Legacy Parkway's northbound lanes, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.
Troopers were still investigating Friday what led to the crash. UHP Lt. Michael McKay said there was no initial indication of alcohol or drug use contributing to the crash.
Turek was wearing a seat belt, McKay said. He was taken by helicopter to University Hospital, where his condition remained unchanged Friday evening.
There were no passengers in the truck and no other vehicles were impacted, according to McKay.
