As my husband and I watched the first Republican debate, we were very much entertained. The one person who stuck out more than anyone else was Donald Trump. As usual, he was able to insult almost everyone, including President Obama, Hillary Clinton (and women in general) and also his fellow candidates.
It did hit home that we don’t think he is serious about wanting to be president. He knows in his heart that his lack of people skills and experience in the political arena and the pressure of making life and death decisions would be too much.
It really would have been nice if, instead of the candidates insulting the present administration, they had said what they want to accomplish in office. The debates should give us some insight into what the candidates think would be some solutions to our problems and challenges in the future.
