BYU and UVU are scheduled to meet again in men's basketball.
The Wolverines announced Monday that the schools have agreed to a four-game series, including a game this year on Nov. 13, when UVU visits the Marriott Center. The Wolverines will host the Cougars for the first time at UCCU Center in Orem on Nov. 29, 2017.
BYU and UVU will also play on Nov. 11, 2016, and Nov. 9, 2018, in Provo.
"This series has been a long time coming," UVU director of athletics Vince Otoupal said in the school's news release. "BYU is an excellent program with national respect, and this series will be great for the fans, the community and the state of Utah."
This year's game will be only the second between the two schools just 4.3 miles apart, as the Cougars beat the Wolverines 84-65 on Nov. 29, 2003, at the Marriott Center. Center Rafael Araujo led BYU with 24 points and 12 rebounds in that game, while guard Ronnie Price, now with the Phoenix Suns, paced the Wolverines with 26 points.
UVU is being led by first-year coach Mark Pope, who spent the past four years as an assistant coach at BYU under Dave Rose.
