KAYSVILLE — Items from the old city library will be sold at a surplus sale at the former library site, adjacent to City Hall. The sale is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25. Items to be sold include tables, chairs, stools, carts, computer stands, shelving, newspaper racks, electric typewriters, laser printers, clocks, drawer units, a paper-cutter, curbside book return, filing cabinets, loveseat, benches, stereo, modular office furniture, display units and whiteboard. The former library branch closed Aug. 6. The new Kaysville Branch of the Davis County Library System, 215 N. Fairfield Road, opened Saturday.
The new library is 15,000 square feet in size and features a fireplace in the reading nook, two meeting rooms for small groups, expanded Internet capability, wireless access, quiet study space and an auditorium that seats about 180. A piano will be available for recitals.
