LOGAN — Utah State women's tennis released its 2015 fall schedule on Wednesday, as announced by third-year head coach Sean McInerney. The Aggies will compete in five fall tournaments before preparing for the spring season that will begin in January.

The Aggies start the year by hosting the Utah State Invite on Sept. 11-13. Utah State first held the Utah State Invite last season, when USU invited Boise State, BYU, Idaho State, Montana State and Weber State to Logan for the three-day event.

USU then travels to Provo for the BYU invite from Sept. 17-19, while part of the team competes at the Air Force invite in Colorado Springs, Colorado, from Sept. 18-20. As a tune-up before regionals, the Aggies will participate in the Arizona Invite in Tucson, Arizona, from Oct. 2-4, before rounding out the fall at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Region Tournament in Las Vegas Oct. 14-18.

"We are excited to get started this fall with some great invites. We will kick off our fall by hosting our second-annual Utah State Invite that will feature BYU, Weber State, Idaho State and Southern Utah," McInerney said. "It is great to start the season off at home, and we are looking forward to playing in front of our family and fans so early in the year. Both the Air Force and Arizona Invites should provide great competition and provide us a good idea of what we need to work on moving forward to compete during our tough spring schedule. We will finish our fall at the ITA Championships which will give us a great opportunity to compete against the best players in the Mountain Region which is always fun."

Utah State returns five players from the 2014-15 team that set a school record with 14 dual match wins on the season in juniors Nini Guenlser and Lexi Turley and sophomores Sabrina Demerath, Meghan Lyall and all-MW honoree Maggie O'Meara. The Aggies also recorded their first postseason win since 2005 with a 4-3 win against UNLV in the Mountain West Tournament.
