Disney announced last week at its D23 fan expo that “The Lion King” will be getting a new sequel in the form of a TV series called “The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar.”

On Wednesday, Disney released a sneak peek at the show, which is expected to debut this November on Disney Channel and Disney Junior.

“The Lion Guard” is just one of several properties from the 1990s that are getting a reboot or sequel. Earlier this month, Sony announced there will be a reboot to “Jumanji,” which starred Robin Williams and told the story of a board game that brought jungle creatures to life, Bustle reported.

Similarly, Will Smith announced this month that “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” (a hit sitcom in the '90s) would get the reboot treatment, with Smith serving as the producer of the new show.

In fact, this has been an ongoing trend for the last year or so. I put together a list in April of 10 different reboots that appeal to ‘90s kids, including reboots of “Full House,” “Boy Meets World” and “Star Wars.”
