PRESTON, Idaho — The Park City High School football team on Friday drove north of the border for this week's game. Needless to say it was a happy charter bus ride home after a 48-15 drubbing of the Preston High School Indians. Led by Grayson Maddux's 17-rush, 161-yard, three-touchdown night, Park City scored on the third play of the game and never looked back. Maddux also had a 12-yard TD reception to cap off a big night.
Preston could never get on a roll, with its lone offensive TD a one-yard dive in the third quarter. Its other score came on a 75-yard interception return for a TD to end the first quarter.
Defensively, Park City recovered two fumbles and had two interceptions, the second was returned 40 yards for a TD by Bo Pederson. A much-improved line and linebacker corps kept Preston on its heels offensively.
Park City quarterback Spencer Zur went 12-15 for 209 yards and 2 TDs, although that line was tempered by three interceptions. His twin brother Collin Zur had six receptions for 119 yards, and Grayson's twin brother Cameron Maddux added 28 rushing yards and one TD.
Park City next hosts county rival South Summit at Dozier Field on Friday, Sept. 4, at 7 p.m.
