Three cheers for Gov. Gary Herbert regarding his recent decision to withhold state directed funding from the Planned Parenthood (PP) organization. Regardless of how PP may be cooking their accounting books (to show that public funding is not being used for their abortion and fetal tissue pursuits), I for one am totally appalled that even one penny of my tax dollars is going to this barbaric organization. Their activities disregard the sanctity of life and human rights. I wonder if a majority of Utahns don’t feel the same way.
How tragic that this once-great nation has a president and Congress whose moral compass is so dysfunctional as to not insist on the immediate termination of all government funding for PP. Thanks, Gov. Herbert, for doing the right thing!
