We recently returned from Cedar City, where for 34 consecutive seasons we have attended all of the Utah Shakespeare Festival plays. Again, a superb season. This festival is a national treasure. After being founded and nurtured by Fred and Barbara Adams, longtime festival administrator Scott Phillips became executive director in 2007 and has guided the festival to new heights, including overseeing the planning and construction of the incredible new Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts.

In 2016, the outdoor Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre, the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre and the Southern Utah Museum of Art will join the Randall L. Jones Theatre to entertain and enchant all who attend. Through the love, attention and guidance of the management and the entire festival staff and company, this Tony award-winning Shakespeare festival continues to bring accolades to our state and draw audiences — and actors — from around the country. Don’t miss it!
