SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz announced that Jordan Brady has been named as an assistant coach of the Idaho Stampede. The Vernal, Utah, native will coach under head coach Dean Cooper. Replacing Andrae Patterson, who joined the Jazz front office staff, Brady brings both playing and coaching experience at the professional level, according to the Utah Jazz news release.

“Jordan has a bright future ahead of him,” Stampede coach Cooper said. “He brings a lot of D-League experience from being both a coach and a player. He’s a talented young coach who will be a valuable part of our player development.”

Brady served as an assistant for the Iowa Energy from 2012-13 and the Bakersfield Jam from 2013-14 before working as a Los Angeles D-Fenders assistant coach last season.

Prior to his coaching debut, Brady split his collegiate basketball campaign between three schools. As a freshman, he played for Dawson Community College before playing for Salt Lake Community College his sophomore year. Brady rounded out his final two years of university with the Utah Valley Wolverines.

Post-college, Brady spent four years playing professional ball (three years in the NBA D-League). The local Utahn played for the Utah Flash for two years before splitting his 2011-12 season between the D-Fenders and Stampede, according to the news release. Brady played for Luxembourg Racing overseas from 2008-09.
