Former BYU running back Paul Lasike made a solid impression at the Arizona Cardinals' training camp Monday, according to ESPN.
"Lasike is a running back on the Arizona Cardinals training camp roster, but he might as well have been a battering ram on Monday when the Cardinals put on the pads for the first time at camp," wrote Jose Romero of ESPN. "Lasike was among those who generated some buzz during contact drills because he made some serious contact."
While Romero noted the undrafted rookie is a "longshot to make the final roster," he also said, "Lasike certainly left an impression Monday."

'Why can't Utah settle on a quarterback?'
This is the very question Miguel Melendez of Fox Sports asked in his Pac-12 South questions.
"Utah coach Kyle Whittingham used the quarterback controversy in his favor, often deciding on his quarterback before game time. And going into fall camp, Whittingham didn’t shy away from yet another brewing quarterback controversy," Melendez wrote.
However, Melendez also noted whoever starts under center will have a big-time weapon in running back DeVontae Booker.
Should Trey Burke be the starter?
D'Joumbarey A. Moreau of Hoops Habit made an interesting case for starting Trey Burke at point guard over Dante Exum this upcoming season.
"What point guard on Utah’s roster averaged the most points, assists, steals, rebounds last year? What point guard also had the best assist to turnover ratio? That answer is none other than Trey Burke," wrote Moreau.
Moreau also wrote about the tendency for people to become impatient with players.
"People also need to keep in mind that last year was only Burke’s second season in the league," Moreau said. "Because of the instant gratification era that we live in and everyone’s waiting for someone to automatically become a star, but most NBA players will tell you that it takes time."
