A fan of the Utah Utes is raising money online to put the word "Utah" on top of the the Nielsen Fieldhouse.

"I took @PortlandUte's idea, together with @Dahlelama's images and ran with it," wrote Mark Sargent on his GoFundMe page raising the money for the project. "Over the course of the last seven months, what started out as a simple question of where to start ended with a phone call with Dr. Chris Hill, granting final approval. Many thanks to all of you great Utah fans, as well as the awesome staff of people that work for the University of Utah, that I met along the way."

The GoFundMe page includes a picture of what adding "Utah" on the roof of the fieldhouse would look like from the air, and it looks pretty impressive.

The goal is to raise $15.3 thousand to make it happen before Utah's home opener against Michigan on Sept. 3. The GoFundMe page launched on Monday and has already brought in over $1,000 as of Tuesday morning. Utah fans who wish to donate can do so here.
