SOUTH JORDAN — The Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest is seeking area residents to fill seats on its Resource Advisory Committee. The committee works in collaboration with federal land managers in recommending projects that will benefit federal lands.
Fifteen vacant and three alternate positions are available in three categories: Category A deals with outdoor recreation, off-highway vehicle users, or commercial recreation activities, and land-use permit holders; category B focuses on archaeology and history, wildlife or hunting organizations or watershed associations, and dispersed recreational activities; category C concerns state elected official, county elected official, tribal representative, and school officials or teachers. Applications can be found at fs.usda.gov and will be accepted no later than Aug. 29. Applications must have an original signature. Email or scanned applications will not be accepted.
