BOUNTIFUL — A section of Legacy Parkway in Davis County will be closed this weekend for bridge maintenance.

The closure on the parkway (state Route 67) is between I-215 and Parrish Lane from Friday, Aug. 7, through Monday, Aug. 10.

The southbound lanes are scheduled to close on Friday at 7 p.m., followed by the northbound lanes at 10 p.m. Southbound lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. Monday and the northbound lanes will reopen at 8 a.m. Motorists should use I-15 as an alternate route.

The closure is scheduled as part of a larger bridge maintenance project from the Utah Department of Transportation that will continue through the end of August. Crews will work several bridges on Legacy Parkway and I-215 in Davis and northern Salt Lake counties.

Following this weekend's closure, crews will begin work on I-215 near the Legacy interchange. Lane and ramp closures will start as early as Monday.

The final stage of the project will include lane restrictions on the Center Street bridge in North Salt Lake, and the 500 South bridge over Legacy Parkway in Woods Cross in late August.
