Gov. Gary Herbert recently fired a warning shot across the bow of the USS Obama, with respect to locking away another large chunk of Utah in a "national monument." Gov. Herbert correctly states that the arbitrary and secret way the Grand Escalante Staircase was established by Bill Clinton still bothers many Utahns.

How then can our governor stand by while the clear will of Utah voters is that the prison should not be relocated? There is no excuse for his failure to challenge the Legislature's Prison Relocation Commission. Utah voters smell corruption and payoffs behind the whole proposition and want nothing to do with it.

Remember the old axiom "Lead, follow or get out of the way"? Gov. Herbert, the people of Utah are leading. Your choices are simple: follow or get out of the way.
