Picture your dream vacation, or even the last vacation you went on. The vacation you took can say a lot about your personality, namely whether you are an introvert or an extrovert.

Researchers at the University of Virginia analyzed 921 people’s personalities and then asked them whether they prefered the beach or the mountains, Laura Bliss reported for City Lab.

Based on previous studies about person-environment fit, the researchers were able to conclude that a person’s personality type was a strong influencer on whether they were going to head for the hills or the beach when they had free time.
