SALT LAKE CITY — University of Utah fans got a glimpse Saturday afternoon at what the future of Sack Lake City could look like as Leki Fotu, a 6-foot-6, 255-pound defensive end out of Herriman High School, committed to the Utes.

Multiple outlets reported Fotu's commitment, although attempts by the Deseret News to contact Fotu and Mustangs head coach Dustin Pearce were not returned.

A senior, Fotu has an extensive background in rugby. Entering Friday’s game against Westlake, he had recorded 27 tackles and 1.5 sacks through four contests in 2015.

Eighteen players have now committed to Utah in the 2016 recruiting class.

The Deseret News will update this story as more information becomes available.
