PROVO — That may have taken longer than expected, but Jamaal Williams finally has taken over Harvey Unga's all-time rushing record with 3,459 career rushing yards.

The record came on a first-and-10 run for 9 yards in overtime.

Mississippi State did a great job of holding Jamaal Williams to well below his 6.2 yards per carry season average.

That run brings Williams' total to 930 yards this season with 10 rushing touchdowns.

Williams came into the game just 63 yards back of Unga's record 3,455 rushing yards. Unga, a graduate assistant working with the offensive line, came into the job hoping for and cheering on Williams to break his all-time rushing record. may be the most surprising career stat for Williams over his career is that he's only lost one fumble on 654 career carries.
