Arizona State comes to Provo to compete against the BYU men’s and women’s swim and dive team on Saturday, Oct. 22, starting at 11 a.m.

“Arizona State will be one of the toughest teams that we face this year,” BYU head coach John Brooks said. “The meet has always been competitive in the past, so we are looking forward to a great meet and first dual meet for the men’s team.”

The BYU men’s and women’s swim and dive team recently participated in the Intermountain Shootout, where the men’s team beat two of the three participating schools and the women’s team achieved three wins out of four. Several athletes clocked winning times, including Payton Sorenson, who is currently ranked third in the country in the 50-yard freestyle.

Arizona State's swim and dive team is headed by Bob Bowman, who was also the primary coach for Olympian Michael Phelps. It is not certain whether Phelps will be making an appearance as an ASU volunteer coach at the meet on Saturday.

Cougar fans are invited to attend the home event, which offers free admission.
