Spenser Heaps,

Wanting it All

BYU is having a good year.

A good, weird year.

On the plus side, it defeated a trio of Power 5 teams. On the down side, it lost to Utah and got rebuffed by the Big 12.

The Cougars’ only postseason hope is the Poinsettia Bowl.

Meanwhile, Utah has four P5 wins and moved up in the AP poll, despite losing to Washington. A Rose Bowl invitation is still in play.

BYU has a great running back in Jamaal Williams, whose 942 rushing yards include one 286-yard game. But the Utes have Joe Williams, who has rushed for 683 yards in the last three games, including one 332-yard outing … after previously quitting the team.

Kalani Sitake to Kyle Whittingham (allegedly): “Dude, can you leave us something here?”
