Woods Cross looking to fill vacancy on City Council

WOODS CROSS — Residents interested in filling a vacancy on the City Council are invited to submit letter of interest to Jessica Sims, the city recorder, either in person at City Hall, 1555 S. 800 West, or by email to jsims@woodscross.com.

The deadline to submit a letter is 4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Individuals interested in serving must be registered voters, must have resided in Woods Cross City for the past year, and must meet all other legal requirements. The letter of interest needs to include the applicant's name, street address, email address, telephone number, and a list of their experience and reasons to be considered.

During an open meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, the council will interview each applicant who meets the qualifications. It is anticipated the council will then vote to appoint a new member to seve until January 2018.
