PROVO — BYU is playing at home for the first time in nearly a month, and this contest will have special meaning for players and coaches on both sides of the field.
The Cougars (5-4) — who are looking to become bowl-eligible — host Southern Utah (5-4) on Saturday in the first-ever meeting between the two in-state schools. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at LaVell Edwards Stadium (BYUtv, 1160 AM, 102.7 FM).
BYU is coming off a convincing 20-3 win at Cincinnati, while the T-Birds handled Montana State 38-21 in their home finale last week.
