S.L. County looking for angels to donate Christmas gifts to needy youths

Gina Percival hangs handcrafted ornaments on a Christmas tree as Salt Lake County and ShelterKids, a local nonprofit organization that provides items to abused, neglected and at-risk teens served by the county's Youth Services, kick off the annual Youth Services Angel Tree campaign in Salt Lake City on Tuesday. County employees and members of the community are encouraged to select an ornament that represents a needed gift for a youth — clothing, shoes, games or toys — from the trees that are displayed inside the north building of the Salt Lake County Government Center. Donations will then be accepted at the county mayor’s office through Monday, Dec. 19, and will be distributed to needy children and youths by the county's Youth Services in time for Christmas.
