High school girls basketball: 3A team-by-team capsules

The 2016-17 high school basketball season got underway last Tuesday with 44 games around the state. To prepare fans for what figures to be another exciting season of 3A basketball, the Deseret News has put together capsules for every team in 3A. Every coach was invited to participate and submit information.

The region rankings are based on coaches' preseason projections.

Here are the 3A teams and players to watch this upcoming season.


Region 9 capsules

1. Desert Hills High School

Head coach: Ron Denos (2nd year)
