High school girls basketball: 1A team-by-team capsules

The 2016-17 high school girls basketball season got underway a couple weeks ago at the 1A Preview in Richfield. With region play just around the corner, to prepare fans for what figures to be another exciting season of 1A basketball, the Deseret News has put together capsules for every team in 1A. Every coach was invited to participate and submit information.

The region rankings are based on coaches' preseason projections.

Here are the 1A teams and players to watch this upcoming season.


Region 17 capsules

1. Rich High School
